What we collect
- Account information (name, email) via Clerk authentication
- Career profile data you enter or upload, including resume files
- Job descriptions you submit for analysis
- Generated application materials and application tracking data
- Usage and billing records (Stripe for paid plans)
How we use your data
We use your data to provide career intelligence features: resume parsing, job fit analysis, tailored document generation, and application tracking. AI processing (Anthropic Claude) receives only the data needed for each feature. We do not sell your personal data.
AI processing
CV Blacksmith sends relevant profile and job text to AI providers to generate analyses and documents. Generated content is constrained by Truth Lock to verified facts you approve. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before submitting applications.
Storage & security
Data is stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases. Resume files are stored in secure object storage. Access is limited to authenticated users for their own data.

Your rights
You may delete your account via Clerk, which removes your CV Blacksmith data. For data requests, contact support@cvblacksmith.com.
